I am writing to complain that you sent me a needlessly opaque and meaningless alert that caused me to unnecessarily waste considerable time due to the lack of proper English and specificity. Sloppy and Bad!
Specifically, your alert states:
"Statement added because consumer was a victim of true-name fraud:#HK#IFCRA(724) 961-9330”
What the hell does that mean? So I call the 800 number and wait endlessly only to learn that this is simply a noticeabout a fraud alert on my own account! Your message was false and inaccurate as I was not a victim of fraud, I only put on the alert to help mitigate potential fraud after learning a vendor for my bank was hacked. Why can’t someone just be forthright and say that in plain English? This was a huge waste of time and needlessly concerning and aggravating.
AMEN!
A letter to me from Change Healthcare dated Sept. 3rd stated that I may be a victim of the unfortunate yet successful breach of the company's cyber security in February, seven months ago. I have had an IDX account for a few years now due to a similar incident with another company. In reviewing my account information today I noticed that the last four digits of my Social Security number in a Notifications to me dated today DO NOT MATCH my actual SSN as I've entered it in the Data Center. Here is what I see on your website:
IN DATA CENTER TODAY SSN AS "Current Monitored SSN of "SS -ABCD" IS "CORRECT
BUT
IN NOTIFICATIONS TODAY: the CyyberScan of "my" social security number stating all's well because it's not out there in the Dark Web displayed the wrong digits for my real SSN:
"SS -WXYZ" !
Good to know SOMEONE is SAFE OUT THERE, if not ME!
