When provided with IDX protection by a company, it should be added to the end of current subscription

Currently have 328 days remaining on IDX service from a previous data breach.

  • Received notice of CHC data breach which occurred 21 February 2024 via letter dated 3 September 2024 but not received until 7 October 2024, offering two years of IDX protection free of charge - THIS SHOULD BE ADDED ON TO THE END OF THE CURRENT EXPIRATION DATE

  • Logged into IDX with a different email than was likely involved in the newer data breach, noted days remaining less than one year in previous data breach protection

  • Called number given in letter, placed on hold, after several minutes was disconnected

  • Called back and received automated message that the person was not available and no voicemail was available - THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!

  • Did not find the idea of extending protection when offered by the business that was the victim of the data breach (or failed to protect my data sufficiently), so have written this new idea for consideration

  • NOTE: THIS IDEA SHOULD INCLUDE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PROTECTION FOR TWO OR MORE EMAIL ADDRESSES (e.g., yahoo.com & gmail.com & icloud.com, etc.).
